Each year, IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conducts a written examination or CWE within the multiple of banks for the clerical cadre. To fill up the vacancies for this post CWE is used by all the public sector banks. Its been 7 years, IBPS conducts this exam every year and hence named it as IBPS Clerk CWE VII. Up to two levels, this exam is being held, Preliminary and Mains. Candidates who clear both the levels are further selected for the posts. IBPS clerk 2017 exam dates are given below.

IBPS Clerk 2017 Exam Pattern

As mentioned above this exam has two phases, Preliminary and Mains. And these both levels are conducted online. here you will get the structure of the exam.

Preliminary Phase-

Online testing of the candidate is being done in the preliminary phase on the basis of Aptitude, Intellect, and English. Candidate must have to clear all the three sections with the required cut off to be selected for the Mains. One hour time will be given to all the candidates to complete all the sections. Depending upon the difficulty level of the exam the cut offs are decided by the IBPS itself.

Mains Phase-

Some of the key changes have been done by the IBPS in the mains phase. Duration of the paper and the total number of questions in Mains Phase has been revised by the IBPS. They said that” IBPS clerk 2017 exam will have 190 questions and the duration of time will be 160 minutes to solve the questions.

In Past time the reasoning ability and the computer Ability is used to conduct individually. But, In a recent update, it is declared that each section is conducted along and can represent total fifty queries that require being resolved in forty-five minutes.           each preliminary and Mains exams are conducted in each language i.e, in Hindi and In English.

IBPS Clerk 2017 Exam Syllabus

Three sections of this Clerk Exam are Reasoning, English language, and Numeric ability. You must focus on each of the sections subheadings when preparing for the exam.

The course of study for Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and English Language is same for mains and preliminary exam. In addition to these subjects, there are two other subjects, General Awareness, and Computer knowledge. The General Awareness is based on the Banking Sector awareness.
